Media Trainer

Kate Turkington has been media training for the past 15 years. She is former Director of Wits TV at the University of the Witwatersrand. She has acted as a communications consultant to the State President’s Office, the Department of Foreign Affairs, and M-Net. Her weekly Sunday night talkshow on www.702.co.za and www.capetalk.co.za is South Africa’s longest running radio talkshow – over 18 years old.

Jeremy Maggs is a former co-anchor on Summit Television. He is media editor of Future Business magazine and the Financial Mail, and was former host of the daily morning radio drive time show AM-Live on SAFM. He also hosts Maggs on Media,  a weekend radio show dealing with the media. He was the presenter of the award-winning Who Wants to be a Millionaire as well as co-presenter of the breakfast television show am2day. He is currently host of ETV’s Newsnight.

Turkington and Maggs have been media training for the past 15 years.

Together, Turkington and Maggs, both practising print and electronic media journalists, form the most experienced hands-on media skills training team in South Africa.
