I'm not surprised that Iceland is a destinations that elicited one of your longest descriptions. I was enchanted with Iceland and felt compelled to write a long article for "Die Burger," our regional newspaper here in the Cape, on my return. Apart from the amazing contrasts (snow covered terrain bordering boiling solfitara and magnificent geysers) the horses are beautiful, the people are friendly and fun loving, the cuisine is world class and swimming in the blue lagoon is an unforgettable experience, as is a romp on snowmobiles amongst bright green moss outcrops in the white landscape. Iceland has almost zero pollution, the Icelanders have one of the world's longest literary histories.... I almost considered moving there.
