Mickey Mouse? C’est moi!

I took my 11-year-old grandson to Disneyland Paris the week before Christmas…

dscn2207-small-small.JPGThe weather was great, but although it was bitterly cold, Paris put on her best face for us with bright blue skies and sunshine. Try to avoid weekends - the Brits pour over from London on Eurostar, and it seems that every French family in the world decides to join you, so the queues for the rides are lo-o-ong. Eurodisney is not as slick as its American cousins in California and Miami - rides often break down - but there is a kind of Gallic charm to it all, and the French are amazingly patient. Wait for weekdays to ride Pirates of the Caribbean (great but no Johnny Depp, alas!); Thunder Mountain; Phantom Manor, Space Mountain, Star Tours and Buzz Lightyear’s ride - the most popular rides.
