Victoria Falls revisited

Still as wonderful as ever – one of the great natural wonders of the world. Go there now – lots of good affordable offers. BUT go to the Zimbabwean side (sorry Zambia!) the views are nearly 100% better.

Seeing the Falls from the Zambian side is like the poor kid looking through the window at the rich kid’s party – you only get a glimpse of the real thing.Vic Falls is still a ghost town but the locals are as friendly and charming as ever. Because there are no crowds you’ll walk almost alone through the spectacular rain forest on the lip of the falls, where monkeys clamber amongst ancient trees and wild flowers glow in a profusion of colour at your feet.

And the sunsets on the mighty Zambezi are truly awesome.
